KPN IoT and Cradlepoint provide global 4G/5G connectivity for Videojet's 50,000 industrial printers

Amsterdam, 28 February - KPN IoT and Cradlepoint, are going to provide Videojet, supplier in coding marking and printing solutions, with M2M connectivity from KPN IoT and Cradlepoint IBR200 4G/5G routers powered by NetCloud Manager worldwide. With the plug-and-play solution, Videojet can easily connect customers and remotely manage and monitor thousands of printers.

As a provider of industrial printing solutions, Videojet manages and monitors printers for customers in various industrial sectors. Within these sectors, Wi-Fi unfriendly locations and restrictive security measures create challenges in terms of stable connectivity.

With the bundled solution from KPN IoT and Cradlepoint, Videojet has more control over mobile connectivity, making remote management of thousands of printers easier.

'KPN IoT and Cradlepoint's solution ensures that we can help ensure 24/7 printing, coding and marking to our customers. This is crucial for industries where it is required such as food, construction, aviation, automotive or pharmaceutical. 'Without the required product identifications, this can lead to significant loss costs or delays in massive projects,' explains Jean-Paul Cohen, Commercial Director Western Europe at Videojet.

"A stable and secure connection is important for any IoT application, but the larger the deployment, the more complicated its realisation can be. In remote, challenging locations, connecting a single IoT device is still doable, but it becomes a different story when you're talking about thousands of devices. This is why we are particularly pleased that Cradlepoint's solutions allow us to provide a highly reliable and easy-to-implement solution for customers with these challenges as well.' said Maurice Janssen Duijghuijsen, Vice President of Sales KPN IoT

'The implementation at Videojet is a fantastic example of what the power of combining our wireless wan solutions with those of KPN IoT can bring to customers with challenging connectivity issues around scalable IoT. The partnership with KPN IoT shows the importance of a network management platform, such as NetCloud Manager is to managing hundreds or thousands of IoT installations across the globe. Something that shows value to the industry' says Evert Suur, Area Director Northern Europe at Cradlepoint.
